One DIY I've found that I really enjoy is making wreaths. I made this fall wreath pictured below last month.
Since I received good feedback from family and friends, I decided I would make our Christmas wreath as well.
I went to Hobby Lobby at a great time, as both the Christmas and their regular floral sections were both 50% off. I knew I wanted a green wreath and all red flowers. So, of course I got some poinsettias. I really liked the glittery ones.
Calla lilies are my favorite flower, so I got a couple in red.
I got a small curly "G", and painted it red. (I had originally painted it white, but I felt it stood out in a not so good way w/all of the red)
I also bought a few glittery leaves and curly pieces, that I for some reason didn't take a picture of before adding them to the wreath.
I first arranged them on the wreath, before using my hot glue gun to attach them. I personally like to place the bigger pieces first, then fill in the empty space w/the smaller ones.
I'm pretty happy w/the final product. It might even be something I'd try to sell in the future. Some feedback on that idea would be appreciated!
